With the ability to integrate seamlessly with your existing b/g wireless network, the WAP3205 is the perfect way to bring your connection up to speed while expanding network coverage throughout your home.
Expand Your Wireless Network
Not all internet-ready devices are natively wirelessly capable. With the WAP3205’s Client Mode, you can connect the WAP3205 to your set top box, game console, or other Ethernet-ready device and quickly form a link to your existing network, no additional wiring required.
To make setup as simple as possible, the WAP3205 uses the eaZy123 setup wizard. With a single click, users can easily change the WAP’s mode of operation without any complicated setup procedures.
Backward-Compatible with Most Popular APs
Now you can extend wireless coverage throughout your entire home. With Universal Repeater mode, the WAP3205 can seamlessly connect to most popular Wireless Access Points to expand your network without the need to run cables.
One-touch WPS button for easy wireless security setup
Establishing a secure wireless network with the WAP3205 couldn’t be easier. Simply push the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button and the corresponding button on the device you wish to connect. Instead of using a pass phrase, users can authenticate and add a new device to the network by pressing a button or entering an automatically generated PIN code. With the button option, you can setup the wireless configuration and encryption in seconds with just a simple click.
Wireless scheduling
In order to reduce unnecessary wireless energy consumption, the wireless scheduler and output power management of the WAP3205 enable you to easily control the wireless network environment. The desired operating time can be set up in a few steps via the Web-based user interface, allowing the WAP3205 to turn itself on or off according to your wireless usage pattern.
Wireless output management
With Wireless Output Management, you’re able to easily adjust the power output for less interference in neighborhoods with high access point density — its six-level signal strength control capability instantly makes you a good wireless neighbor.
